  1. Yeah, saw this game live on Globo TV in Brasil and just wanted to confirm a couple of things. Rodrygo and Messi were having a real heated exchange before the kickoff, so i think that report has something to it. Also it seems to me the Argentinian fans by their appearance and demeanor, really were looking for trouble, and got it in spades from once again over enthusiastic Brazilian "security forces". These guys carry batons the size of baseball bats. With lots of women and children caught up in the melee, it really has to be said this whole night was just bonkers. Brazil must face the possibility of getting into the next World Cup through a play in round. Strange days indeed

  2. Anti Messi people are you happy with those incidents? Thanks to the rotten chiringuito show creating and treating Messi like he was a criminal. So this is the result, asking again are ou happy?

  3. Sounds to me like the Brazilian FA wanted the violence, so that they can use it as excuse to abandon the game. just like how they did with the 2021 qualifier citing COVID protocols. The current Brazil cannot beat the current Argentina, so the FA is doing everything possible to just cancel the games. Embarrassing…

  4. Tim, you are being very diplomatic towards the Police…Probably because you live there…But their brutality should be sanctioned by Conmebol and FIFA, and Brazil should have all international home games banned until the next world cup, because this is NOT the first time it's happened and the CBF just says nothing!!!

  5. BRAZIL SHOULD BE BANNED FROM PLAYING THE HOME GAMES AND SHOULD BE PUNISHED.
WHY THE BRAZILIAN POLICE ATTACKED ARGENTINE ONLY? NOT BRAZILIAN?
IT'S BRAZILIAN HOME GAME. THEY SHOULD TREAT THE ARGENTINE AS A GUEST BUT ….
FIFA SHOULD PUNISH BRAZIL FOR THIS.

  6. Lol I swear this guy just spends his day on the beach waiting for the 1 day a month someone asks for his take on events in south America. The good life, plenty of coke to go with it too

  7. WRONG!!!. THOSE SEATS WERE THROWING BY BRAZILIANS AGAINTS THE ARGENTINIANS. SOME ARGENTINIAN THROWED THEM AGAINTS THE POLICE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES!!. BRASIL STARTED EVERYTHING WITH THE ANTHEM AND WITH A BRAZILIAN GUY THAT GET INTO ALL THE ARGENTINIANS TO PUT A BRAZILIAN FLAG OVER AND ARGENTINIAN FLAG THAT WAS ALREADY THERE. MILITAR POLICE WAS JUST WAITING FOR THEIR TIME TO SHINE ONLY AGAINTS ARGENTINIANS!!

  8. Considering Argentina’s debt load, and its sky-high inflation in the face of a global economic slowdown, we forecast that Milei’s plan to revive the nation’s economy will prove to be more talk than action.

  9. The images speak for themselves, the Brazilian military police are a bunch of thugs who attacked fans, even women and children as well as family members from the Argentina players. Totally insane. It’s always the same in Brazil with the military police, they believe they are in the Favelas and have total impunity. FIFA should intervene, I don’t know why Brazil always gets away with it. Good move by Messi to take the Argentinan team out of the pitch, he saved the day. Good attitude by Marquinhos too. The other Brazilian players should be ashamed of themselves for not doing anything.

  10. Argentino têm que se fuder mesmo aqueles racistas de merda todo clube brasileiro quando vai jogar lá no país deles a torcida sofre racismo e violência agora só estamos retribuindo o que eles sempre fazem com agente aqueles santinhos filhos da puta

  11. Well, that's not different than how brazilian police treat brazilian club fans all the time.

So it was not that the brazilian police acted violently against argentines… they just acted like they always act against fans, right or wrong, that is their modus operandi.

  12. Vickery is a total Brazil loving hack! I’ve read many columns he wrote about the Argentina National team in a disparaging light, even in the last 24 months when Argentina was unbeatable. However, he never rips Brazil’s team about their form over the last year. Vickery just say you don’t like Argentine fútbol and at least we’ll know you’re a partisan hack.
