Sir Alex Ferguson, Gary Lineker and Peter Schmeichel were among the many people to pay tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton this afternoon, following the Manchester United legend’s funeral.

The Man Utd and England legend died aged 86 last month.

Charlton is regarded as one of Manchester United’s greatest ever players, scoring 249 goals in 758 appearances between 1956 and 1973. He won the European Cup with United in 1968, as well as three First Division titles.

The 1966 World Cup winner earned 106 caps for England, scoring 49 times, a goalscoring record which he held from 1970 to 2015.

  2. Football is my favorite game
    I love to watch them play –
    Those tightly muscled butts and legs
    On an awesome autumn day;
    How fluidly and gracefully
    They dance across the green –
    Such elegant contenders play
    The best I've ever seen;
    Some people think I'm crazy
    The way I love the game –
    But I'd rather be watching football
    Than anything I can name;
    Of course I may be prejudiced
    I love my maise and blue –
    That BIG 10 team that rules the league………….
    You rock the Big House – BLUE! ! !
    P.s I am a Red just for the record lol.

  3. Rip sir Bobby rival fans can laugh at man utd all they want but the fact is our club is steeped in history, and people like bobby Charlton will always be remembered by our fans. Sadly the days of passion in the game has gone and money now has ruined the game we all love
