Police say 39 arrests were made and four officers were injured during “disgusting” clashes with Legia Warsaw fans on Thursday night.

Missiles were thrown at police as Legia fans were held in a coach park near Villa Park ahead of their side’s game against Aston Villa, which the hosts won 2-1.

  1. you English should learn from the Poles, when you were here, no one attacked you, no one provoked you. you did everything, including the police, to call us aggressive – of course we are aggressive in the context of injustice

  2. Legia were told 4 weeks ago that their ticket allocation had been reduced to 1000 after their fans caused trouble in the Netherlands.

Then the tickets they had were not given out!

Not quite sure what Villa did wrong here. If you cause trouble, then expect to not be made welcome.

  3. AZ Alkmar and Aston Villa stick together to twist everything round – "Knollsy" West Ham fan story. They are looking for sacrifice cu.ts now blaming Legia Warsaw fans. They should have beeen banned for attacking West Ham family members and other West Ham fans. They provoked this situation cutting allocated tickets. They know what kind of reaction from Polish fans can expect – but as I said, they want twist everything around for that story with 'Knollsy '. and they need to create sacrifice lambs – Legia Warsaw fans, because they know well, that they are easy to provoke. We should cast ours mind back to incidents in Alkmaar to understand this dirty game. Dutch Police attacked Legia Warsaw Chairman and footbal players too without any specific reason….

  4. Remember the 80s. Trouble followed english football around. Uefa were strong and dealt with it. Surely now if trouble was following a club or country uefa would have balls to be strong

  5. Shame on you Villa! You conned Legia fans ! Today on Talksport radio Police admitted that decision was made not to let anyone from Legia fans in 2 hours before the kick off! So way before riots started. That disrespectful decision alone caused the riots to erupt. Take responsibility for your ignorance!

  6. The whole problem was created by the Aston Villa club by not giving tickets to the Legia club. The English were in Warsaw and it was great, but when Legia arrived, Aston Villa suddenly broke the rules.

  7. 2000÷ Legia fans turn up and only 882 tickets allocation did they just think that they could roll on up and just wander in….. with a reputation like theirs iam no fan of WMP but everyone knows in Britain a football stadium is no place to cause disorder. Police had intel that the LEGIA ULTRA'S were planning to try enter the place regardless of UEFA DIRECTIVES. Aslo most of them that night came from the Birmingham area as there is a large number of Polish living in the area. 99% Decent peaceful people

  8. My understanding is Villa always give the allocation of away tickets to the traveling club for them to sell, that could 1000, 5000, 10,000 whatever. It is then up to the traveling club to inform their fans of how many tickets they have and how they will sell them. This situation has nothing to do with Villa as Villa do not sell away allocation on a match day at Villa park

  9. there were 1,700 Villa fans in Warsaw. We demanded equal treatment. We couldn't agree to discrimination just because some English faggots from the Midlands Police wanted it. It was our uprising against anti-Polish discrimination from shitty racist Englishmen.

  10. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR BY POLAND FANS !!! SHOULD BE HEAVILY FINED AND BANNED BUT WE ALL KNOW THE MEAK AND EXTREMELY WEAK EUFA WON'T HAVE THE COURAGE TO DO THIS !!! YET AGAIN !!! VILLA ASKED ON THE 2 NOVEMBER FOR COOPERATION ON FAN TICKET ALLOCATIONS FROM THE MAD POLISH CLUB AND RECEIVED NOTHING !!! EUFA STEP IN HERE TO STOP THESE RIGHT WING POLES FROM IT HAPPENING AGAIN !!! LIVERPOOL UK
