Loan vote doesn’t give Newcastle an advantage over other Premier League clubs, says Eddie Howe

This week Premier League clubs voted against a temporary ban on loan deals between associated clubs for the January transfer window.

Thirteen Premier League teams voted to stop England’s top-flight clubs from making related-party loan deals, with seven voting to keep the existing rules in place.

The ruling means Newcastle, who are 80 per cent owned by The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) are in a position to loan players from the four Saudi Pro League clubs also owned by PIF in the upcoming window.

However, Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe says the club’s January plans are yet to be determined and the vote gave an option to all clubs, not just his.

  1. It literally does. Let me show you how.

7 Saudi owned clubs buy top 50 players for a £5bn pounds. And pays them a £1m a week salary.

And then they loan those players to newscastle for £100k monthly loan fee, while the Saudi club pays their full salary. Thus circumventing fifa / premier league rules

Only £100k is shown on newcastles expenses in the accounts.

Secondly it takes 50 top players out of the ranks of your opponents. They are effectively removed from circulation.

Teams In europe and uk gets weaker because the saudi teams wont loan these players to them, only to newcastle

  2. It's crazy how easy access New Castle has to top elite players. They could have their pick from Neymar, Mane, Firmino, Mahrez, CR7, Benzema, Kanté, Fabinho…

Imagine Neymar playing at New Castle come Jan 2024.
