  1. FOR THOSE WHO DON’T UNDERSTAND SUPER LEAGUE STRUCTURES … It is a league made of Europe’s top football teams with an opportunity to extend invitations to other teams. The teams selected play in this competition every year, they can never be relegated (outside the two leagues made). The league intends to benefit the teams that join it with large financial incentives. Meanwhile teams that don’t OR not invited to join, will not reap any financial gain. Hence if you’re Madrid, via super league, you guaranteed 400 mils plus of income every year. Again this helps the clubs who join, makes the rich richer. The Super League is NOT anti-monopoly, it is monopoly.

I understand FIFA is corrupted, but this system ensures the rich get richer, in a fixed system. Hats off to ManU and Bayern for standing against Monopoly they could have joined.

  3. Most of the people reading this headline are just reacting to the old information they knew or, even worse, just speculating without reading any of it.

The ESL had always been a substitution rather than an addition. Clubs in the ESL wouldn’t participate in UEFA/FIFA tournaments and therefore there wouldn’t be more games added to the calendar, they would just be substituted. UEFA and FIFA have a monopoly on tournaments, where they earn billions just for hosting a tournament. When someone else does it, it’s greed?

Clubs get a lot of money from qualifying for the CL, but that money comes from the attraction of those clubs being in the CL. So why can’t the clubs themselves host the tournament instead? Clubs can’t be greedy, but the UEFA and FIFA can? There shouldn’t be a monopoly and dictatorship in hosting a tournament and the UEFA and FIFA shouldn’t be the ones majorly profiting from it instead of the clubs that are participating in the tournaments.

I’m not saying I’m pro ESL. If the UEFA and FIFA actually gave away 99% of their revenue away to the clubs, they would still have enough money to pay out employees and what not, but they don’t. Clubs don’t have much say in tournament formats and just have to deal with it, they don’t have a say in the increasing calendar with non sensical tournaments like the Nation’s League and they aren’t the benefactors as much as they should be for being in those tournaments. Playing for one’s country is one thing, but clubs are paying the wage bill and injuries sustained due the full calendar is an issue for the clubs, not the hosts.

  4. Super league will support fairplay, no more state clubs paid with oil money and corruption by fifa.

Superleague will also be free no pay per view… How greedy are they uh? -_-

  5. Rember this. They ruined basketball in Europe, they ruined hockey in Europe, they ruined handball in europe, but they will never ruin football in Europe. Super league will never happen.

  6. Florentino Pérez, the hero, the legend and the only football figure who could compete with Lionel Messi and surpass him many times at winning the ballon d'Or !!!!

  7. I love how these paid pundits keep making the super league sound like an evil league. All you need to know is it’s a league with top clubs facing one another more consistently where us fans can watch our favorite teams face the best of the best. FIFA gets 0 profit from this league, the clubs would divide the earnings among themselves and that’s the only reason fifa hates the super league. Don’t be fooled as fans and fall for this bs

  8. In Scotland, where the kilts are in twirl,
Football dreams faced a European swirl.
    But Scottish teams so bold,
In the Super League, we're told,
    Danced victory, a Tartan-clad whirl!
