Man Utd boss Erik Ten Hag insisted his side were “very good” and that he had no regrets over their Champions League campaign despite exiting the tournament with a whimper against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

Needing a win to have any chance of progressing to the last 16, United managed only one shot on target all night, and that came from Luke Shaw’s hopeful long-range effort midway through the first half.

Instead, Bayern – who were playing only for pride after previously sealing top spot in Group A – emerged victorious through Kingsley Coman’s 70th-minute winner. They enjoyed 10 shots, double that of their hosts, 17 opposition-box touches to United’s 10, and saw almost 60 per cent of the ball across the 90 minutes.

  1. In this particular game it was the desperate versus the confident and comfortable. It’s the other games that killed us, and will continue to do so if we spend much of our energy on the dynamic duo that is Rashford and Martial. These and other players are looking around for somebody to carry them and nobody is there. If they don’t realize that now is the time to step up , better they leave and soon.

  2. If he cant admit that they were horrible and an utter failure then he isn't right for the job. He's trying to hide behind excuses hoping it will save his ass. If he was a real man and a proper manager he would come forward and accept that himself and the team were not up to par.

  3. Most people will question my loyalty and support for my team / club but I wish it get worse so that the people @the top realise that a total clear out and rebuild is needed for us to go back to where the club belongs because at the moment we are a big club because of our history and support but we are not a good team

  4. Can I say what am behind the coach a 100percent the players are to blame they are too relaxed they ain't giving their best ….where do we go from here is he should sell all those rashfords and martials .

  5. Sky really has an agenda with how they title Ten Hag videos and trying to force him out. Really want him sacked fir vuews dont you? United fans are still behind him as a majority.

Funny how Newcastles, billionaire owners, great squad like us, similar situation as us with injuries get full support from the media.

Listen to the words of his own opponent talking about united team at the moment.

    Ten-Hag-In!

  6. Ten hag go to another club! Your out of your depth with utd!! The squad is In dissary and not getting any better! Time to go and bring at least 6 players with you!! Utd aren't playing like they should terrible to watch! Please leave already
