Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has agreed in principle to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

The terms and structure of the deal are still to be finalised and Sky Germany are reporting that the Bundesliga club would like to sign the player on loan, with the potential of an option to buy.

Sky Sports News understands there is a provisional agreement in place for the 26-year-old to join Frankfurt, subject to a medical in January.

It’s believed Van de Beek will continue to train with Erik ten Hag’s squad and remains available for selection.

  1. Should have happened three years ago tbh. Or at least two. Don't know what he was still doing there. Lesson for all foreign players. Do NOT join Manchester United. The worse club in the world to join. I mean that. They're the worst club to join

  2. My message to all those players who aspire to play at Manchester United: be cautious and carefully consider your decision before agreeing to play with them. Every player who has played with them in recent years has ended up leaving.

  3. My Man Utd favourite player, I"m a Man Utd fan from 25 years and I never missed a match..we have Van De Beek(clever, fast thinkining, great technic, great vision, great spirit..) and we never let him play, stupid club! I think I'll become an Eintracht fan and say farewel to Man Utd after such a long time..disgusting..good luck Donny..however I think you don't need luck, you're a great player!! 😉

  4. He didn't suit any of the Utd teams. But then what midfielders did? Even Pogba couldn't do it. He seemed to have good technical skills and passing but lacked the press and aggression needed. Never got enough chances either since Utd were always just a few games away from a managerial sacking. He will probably do alright in Germany, but it'll be very hard to come back from a two year absence of games.

  5. Man United wasted Van der Beek's career and literally held him to ransom at Old Trafford. He deserves to play somewhere else, where he will feel happier to finally get back on the pitch and enjoy what he does.
